I finally finished another book! And it's a self help one!

If I'm being completely honest, I had no intentions of reading How To Be a Bad Bitch until it was mentioned in Nazanin Kavari's video. That's when I knew I had to get my hands on it.

I decided to listen to it on audible and I loved it. Amber Rose narrated the book, which gave it a more personal feel. I recommend reading it this way, but if you don't have an audible account, just find a YouTuber sponsored by them and use their free book discount (that's what I did lol).

Now let's get to the review!

In How To Be a Bad Bitch, Amber Rose unleashes the secrets of being, you guessed it, a bad bitch. One of the many points she makes is that being a bad bitch, despite what many think, has more to do with how you carry yourself rather than how you look. Your character will outweigh your appearance any day. This self help book is a guide for every female who hopes to become more confident with themselves.

I learned that being a bad bitch isn't about being snooty, self-absorbed, rude, or "bitchy" even. Being a bad bitch is about loving yourself unconditionally. It's about being well mannered and being the bigger person in any situation. It's not about how much money you have or the people you know. Being a bad bitch is all about owning who you are, where you are. Period.

Rose taught me a lot. She made me see myself in ways that I didn't before. She made me think of myself as someone who can be their own boss and be in control of their life. She makes me want to push my boundaries, tear down my walls, and show the world the real and authentic me (still trying to figure that out).

How To Be a Bad Bitch covers many topics from fashion to beauty to relationships, and yes, even sex. The book gives the readers an insight into Rose's childhood and her rise to fame. Whether you want to admit it or not, Amber Rose is admirable. Her ambition and motivation is inspiring.

There were so many times when I was listening to this on audible that I couldn't help but laugh. Rose's sense of humor is very present in her book and I loved that aspect. After every chapter, I took some time to let her words sink into my head, as I do with every self help book I read. Nothing she tells you is not something that you haven't heard before, but the way she goes about it is what makes this book stand out.

If you're in a rut, not feeling like your best self, or having an identity crisis, this book is for you. Let this book help you like it helped me.

Let's be bad bitches together.

Until next time,

xo, kathlyn
